melroy,melroy, egyptian arabian, egyptain arabian, egyptian arabian egyptian arabian egyptian arabian , melroy Melroy Classic Arabians was founded in 1985 with the purchase of two Egyptian breed mares that we kept in Wisconsin at Donna's brothers farm. The farm, Melroy Classic Arabians, was named after Donna's late father who had planned to raise and breed horses, but was killed in an accident at a young age. We hope he is smiling from heaven at these beautiful Straight Egyptian mares, foals, and stallions; which we dedicate to his memory. Melroy, had a love and understanding of horses since he was a child and passed this love on to his children and grandchildren. The family always had horses and Donna enjoyed riding and showing her horse. Donna was also a member of a local trail-riders club that took trail rides through the beautiful Kettle Marine area in Wisconsin. In 1988 Melroy Classic Arabians purchased property in Bradbury, California. Later in 1988 we purchased 13 Straight Egyptian mares from the Bentwood auction. Months of research went into choosing the mares that we would bid on at the auction. Bentwood had over 1600 Egyptian Arabian horses and we decided to go with mostly young stock. Any mare that we bid on had to have the following attributes, she must possess a top of the line pedigree and female tail line. Her Straight Egyptian Arabian pedigree must be of equal match to her physical beauty, presence, Arabian type, and action. Melroy Classic Arabians through the years we sold all but three mares. These remaining mares were our top producing and all around top quality mares. Our breeding program was established with these three top notch mares, our foundation mares. The mares we kept are as follows: AK ATHENA, AK RAQI ZAFIRA, and AK FA RAHWANA. All three had qualities we had strived to capture. Watching them in the pasture took our breath away. They were all seventeen months old at the time of purchase in 1988, now their sons and daughters are making their mark as top quality representatives of the breed in the stallion breeding barn, in the show ring and as top quality broodmare foundation stock. Our sire lines include a blending of The Egyptian Prince, El Hilal, Ansata Ibn Halima, Nabiel, The Elixir, Dream Manor Baalero, Abraxas-Moonstruk, Raquin Ra, Prince Fa Moniet, and Rames Mishaal Nadir just to name a few. Our mares female lines include these wonderful Straight Egyptian Arabians: Deenaa, AK Athena, AK Yamaamah, AK Fanniya, AK Saamah, AK Zafira, Narimaan, Dahma II, Faara, AK Fa Rahwana, Ramses Rahwana, AK Raqi Zafira, Jaliya, MC Alexsis, MC Elextris, MC Elextriss Dream and many more.
